Our Islamic Identity & Foundation
The North American Muslim Alliance identifies firmly with the mainstream theological and spiritual tradition of Islam known throughout Islamic history as Ahlu Sunnah wal Jama'ah (the People of the Sunnah and the Majority Community).
Our methodology is grounded on the three classical dimensions of the religion described in the famous Hadith of Jibril: Islam (outward submission and sacred law), Iman (sound orthodox creed), and Ihsan / Tasawuf (internal purification of the heart, sincerity, and continuous remembrance of Allah).
The Holy Quran & Prophetic Sunnah
The primary, immutable sources of Islamic life and jurisprudence. We promote love, deep reverence, and rigorous study of the words of Allah and the living character of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).
Sound Orthodox Creed ('Aqeedah)
Adherence to the balanced, moderate creed of the Ahl al-Sunnah, avoiding theological extremes, sectarian divisiveness, and modern skepticism while preserving absolute Tawhid (the oneness and transcendence of Allah).
Tasawuf & Heart Purification (Tazkiyah)
The spiritual science of removing arrogance, envy, and worldly distraction, replacing them with humility, compassion, gratitude, and intense devotion to the Almighty through authenticated methods of Dhikr and spiritual mentorship.
